Sennheiser MX55 Twist-To-Fit In-Ear Stereo Headphones

Average Customer Rating: Recommend

The new Sennheiser Street Line really gets music going and the great sound and powerful bass from the Sennheiser Basswind System are especially exciting. Exchangeable design covers available as accessories for some products, give it an even more individual look.

Dissapointing
I personally don't care for these as they
1: Hurt my ears no matter what combo I use of adapters
2: Don't sound very clear unless I hold them into my ear
3: Have a crappy case and cord design that will not straighten out
4: Are cheaply designed.
I bought 2 pairs as I figured I couldn't go wrong with the name. Oh well, I'll just try and return them, but for 12 a pair it's not really worth the hassle.
These stay in my ear really well but they hurt and don't sound nearly as nice as my cheap skull candy's

Good Buy
I purchased these to use for running. Very pleased how they stayed in my ears without horsing around with the various different size adapters included. Sound is very good. I have had horrendous luck with the sound on Sony's. Only complain is something someone else also wrote about. The cord seems to be perma-press coils and it constantly knots when packed or stuffed in my pocket. But for the price, I have no complaint.

You'd be better off buying a pair of turds
Sennheiser should be ashamed to sell products of this low quality. The coiled cable is a terrible design that does nothing besides make them much harder to get untangled. The earphones come with a variety of little interchangeable parts but they attach so loosely that they are ripped off and lost within a matter of days under normal use (as in, putting them into and taking them out of your pocket). First, both of the decorative plastic pieces fell off. Then the rubber discs fell off that form part of the twist-to-fit system. Then the rubber rings around the speakers themselves fell off. I threw the earphones away after I had run out of the various spare parts that Sennheiser includes with the earphones.
Moreover, the sound quality just isn't good. Not as good as the stock ipod earphones, and certainly not anywhere close to Sennheiser good.

What a Disappointment

(REAL NAME)
I really had high expectations for this and wanted it to work so bad because I was willing to spend $12 on it (the street one). I expected the vol to be low because i had read reviews, but i was willing to accept that in hopes that the fit would be right. even all the random sizing accessories couldn't make the thing fit in my ear. The bud was too fat and the top thing didn't help at all (the angle of the bend was too great it couldn't even make contact with my ear).
As far as the sound goes...sounded muffled, some bass. I normally have my mp3 play vol on 10/24 when it's quiet, but these required somewhere between 14-19/24.
I attribute the fit to my asian ears, but I much prefer my Panasonic Ear Drops (RP-HV21) which cost me $8.12 here on amazon. The fit was nearly perfect and the sound is decent (I'm not an audiophile).

best headphones I've owned
these things are great. great sound, comfort, quality. If you have any problems with the bass not sounding deep enough, thats because they're not fitted in your ear properly. These are a must have if you intend to use them while you exercise.
