- Mac-Mini is just AWESOME...
- The Mac-Mini I bought from Amazon is simply AWESOME. Really. Set-up was effortless and it actually runs faster than my PC with XP Pro by a significant margin. Bill Gates better watch out!

- incredibly easy to setup and use
- I just got this for my mother who's not very technically savy but does use the internet and email. This design is great, I've always been a pc guy but the boot time and responsive os is very impresive. Very easy to navigate.

- Mac mini
- Great computer. Bought my first Mac in 2007, it is an iMac. We had a PC running Windows XP along with the new iMac. My two oldest girls were fighting over the Mac, so I bought this mini to go with a good monitor I already had, and retired the old PC.

- Nice HTPC machine
- I use my 1.83 Ghz Core2Duo mini hooked up to my HD Flatscreen and I have had nothing but joy owning it. It is very quiet, has a low power draw, and has plenty of processing power for a Home Theater system. It could be a bit more powerful, but as a Home Theater system it is more than adequate.
My wife is absolutely in love with the mini, because it is always available. The perfect machine for browsing the web, watching DVDs, doing our taxes, etc. I probably get more family use out of my mini than any other system in my house.
So, while they aren't the most powerful system they are excellent for probably 90% of what people do with a computer. The weakness of the integrated graphics chip shows itself when using high end 3D games or other 3D graphics applications. The mini also comes with a rather slow internal Hard Disk (5400rpm as I recall), but this can be replaced with a larger or faster drive for those that wish it. Of course, these components that ship with the mini are also part of why it does not use much power. If you are looking for a 3D gaming machine the mini is not for you. - 2008-04-17, 1 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
