- a great pot
- I love this pot. So far so good, I've only had it for a month, but I never have to worry about the water boiling away because I forgot I put it on. It's so quick too.

- VERY good , but not perfect
- I thought I was buying an 100% stainless steel (on the inside) kettle but upon closer inspection there is a small plastic ring on the inside of the kettle that comes in contact with the water, which really annoys me.

- Boils quick, looks nice
- My wife and I have been drinking a lot more tea lately (I used to get my morning caffeine from cola, now I get it from Irish Breakfast tea) and were getting tired of using the microwave to nuke water.
I didn't want to spend too much, but I wanted decent quality. One of the main selling points on this was the mention on another review that it wasnt all plastic inside, unlike a number of other "value-priced" electric kettles. Other kettles were mostly plastic and had some complaints about a plastic taste leaching into the water.
While there were some complaints about the metal part of this getting hot, that's because the exterior of the kettle is the outside of the chamber where the water is heated. Just like a stovetop kettle, you hold it by the handle, respect the metal parts, and no one gets hurt.
There are four reasons to use this kettle...
1: It's fast. Boils 1.5 liters of water (maximum) in 6 minutes. If you just want .6 liters (minimum level), it's even speedier.
2: Leaves your microwave or stovetop burner open for more important prep while you boil water.
3: It's cool in concept and this particular model is handsome. The day we got it, a neighbor who has also been getting more into tea stopped by and was totally jealous.
4: It makes a rumbling noise as the water heats, which is quieter than the microwave and sort of cool and throaty like a muscle car.
At 1.5 liters, it's big enough to fill three of those big coffee house mugs, so whether you need hot water for multiple people or just multiple cups, it's quick and convenient.
I've only had it a day, so I cannot attest to its longevity, but it's worked well through 3 pots of water and I'm enjoying it. - 2008-11-25, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- a gift
- My son and his wife love this Kettle. They both say it is the best gift I
we've gotten them yet. No more burnt sauce pans heating and forgetting them on the stove. I have one as well and love mine. That is the reason I got one for them. My next buy will be one for my daughter and her husband. Love it, love it, love it! - 2008-11-10, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Love It!
- I bought this electric kettle about a month ago and love it. The things I wanted to know before buying were 1) does it heat water fast (it does, very fast) and 2) is there any off taste (there isn't). I didn't think about the cordless feature till I read about it in a review, but I do find it very convenient.
It pours easily and without drips (unlike my electric coffeemaker). It's small which makes it a perfect size for just a cup or two - it does have a 1.5 L capacity but I use the kettle mainly for hot water for tea, for the hot water for Jello and instant hot cocoa so I rarely need more than 2 cups.
It feels sturdy and I like its cute stainless steel retro look. The price is right and like another reviewer I bought mine at Target for the same price as Amazon charges. - 2008-11-01, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
