Fred Harvey and the Harvey Girls are my favorite topics. I wrote “Fred Harvey's Fast Food Empire, Yesterday & Today” as a three-part “short.” It includes an award-winning biography of “Fred Harvey, the Father of Fast Food,” a review of the classic musical, The Harvey Girls, and travel information with links to websites about historic Fred Harvey buildings, museums, and restaurants around the Southwest, which I visited prior to writing Harvey Girl. I'm working on a sequel now. The working title is Detours to Yesterday. It will feature another of Fred Harvey's famous adventures, the Indian Detours.
