Average Customer Rating: Recommend

Bikes without kickstands leaning against the wall are a recipe for disaster. The walls get scratched by the handlebars and peddles, and eventually the bike comes crashing down no matter how well you balanced it in the corner. Here's an affordable way to end all that. The freestanding bike rack keeps two bikes standing indefinitely with no worries and no time wasted trying for the perfect balance. Durable steel…

Excellent bike stand, especially for disc brakes
This bike stand is a steal! It is well made and my two Novara mountain bikes with disc brakes fit perfectly inside. I use it also to keep my bikes from falling over when I load them in my van. I realize that this is a specialized application, but for those to whom it applies rest assured that this light weight device works perfectly for that purpose. It was very inexpensive too, and that is a big plus for me!

Should have got sooner
I don't know why I didn't get this sooner. It assembles in a few minutes (though there are about 16 screws, to screw in) and seems sturdy enough. From pictures, the PBS-2R Racor Bike Rack may be identical (?) but the "Closetmaid" version was direct from Amazon where I have a premium shipping account anyway. Minor nuisance: The handlebars of the two bikes tend to tangle, BUT if the stand were much wider, that would be space-consuming and unpopular and it would have to be really wide for handlebars not to nudge the same space. You can assemble it so the two bikes face in opposite directions, but then you need like 10 or twelve feet from one end to the other (the two bikes would rest "nose to nose" and handlebars wouldn't tangle.) It's not terribly wide so if you do something unusual - like bikes with "tagalongs" or maybe tandem bikes - it could tip left or right. Normal bikes no problem, that's what it was designed for.

Wow!
I can't believe I didn't think of getting one of these sooner. No more kick-stand problems and bikes tipping over.
