- Friction Mount
- This is a great item to have if you own a Garmin Nuvi. It keeps the GPS in place 99% of the time. It will jump and shift a little when you hit a bump or when you take a corner too fast, but it is very stable. The suction cup that came with the Nuvi is not sticking too well after a few months;my Nuvi fell a few times while using it. I also am able to hide the friction mount when I park, and it makes it easy to move from one car to another.

- The best way to 'mount' your Garmin GPS
- After the suction cup mount 'glued' itself to the windshield of my wife's car I started looking for a better way to mount my Nuvi. The friction mount is the best option in my honest opinion. It stays in place even during spirited driving, no sliding at all.
As others have said it moves the GPS closer to you so it is easier to adjust while driving, is the easiest way to move the unit from car to car, and the easiest way to 'hide' the unit while your car is parked.

- Rock Solid
- I couldn't be happier with this product - it stays rooted to the dash where I put it through the twists and turns of the road, even though I typically place it on my dash at bit of a slope. And I'm able to cram the whole thing into my glove box without a problem when I want to get it out of my way. My Nuvi 650 is easily and quickly removeable. What more could you ask of a product like this?

- Clunky, but it works.
- The mounts base was larger and more rigid than I expected. It doesn't conform well to the contour of my dash, but most importantly, it doesn't move either. Functionally, it works perfectly, but due to its size, it's difficult to find a place in my vehicle to store it when it's not in use.

- Great Product
- This is a great product. It never slips on the dashboard no matter how hard I stop or corner. The suction cup mount that Garmin provided with my Nuvi 350 kept falling off the windshield. Not good for a $500 GPS. This is a good solution to that problem. Garmin should be providing this with their products in place of the poorly designed suction mount.
