- Hitachi 725798 SDSMax Shank Adapter
- IMPORTANT NOTE!:
The photo shows the 3 Jaw Drill Chuck included, when in fact it is not. The product is the SDSMax shaft/shank/adapter only. You can purchase the 3 Jaw Drill Chuck at any hardware store, Lowe's, Home Depot, etc.
Also note that the adapter is too short to engage the hammer feature on my Bosch demo hammer, so you will have to be content to "drill" only, without the hammer/drill feature.
Otherwise, great product...did what I needed it to do... - 2008-08-17, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- SDS MAX to Drill Chuck inaccurate picture and description
- Hitachi 725798 SDS Max Shank Adapter to 3-Jaws Drill Chuck 1/2-InchThread for Hitachi SDS Max Rotary Hammers
As stated by other buyers this is a SMS Max Shank that will accept a 3 Jaw Drill Chuck. The shank does not come with the drill chuck as stated and shown in the picture. I followed the recommendation of another review stating go to Harbor Freight for the Jacobs drill chuck. The chuck is still $5. - 2007-11-15, 1 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:

- I think this part may work, and Amazon sells it:

- Part shipped is not part pictured
- BE ADVISED-I learned the hard way that the part I thought I was purchasing is not the part I wanted. The picture which is shown with the part shows an SDS-max shank adaptor with a 3-jaws drill chuck attached. The part is ONLY the sds-max shank which does NOT include the 3-jaws chuck attached. I only discovered this after sending the item back for exchange upon which I just received the shank-only part again. Only after calling Hitachi's part division in Norcross, GA did they tell me that the part I had in my hand was in fact the part they sell...which does not include the 3-jaws chuck. In order to make the part complete I had to buy the 3-jaws chuck separately from a vendor Hitachi recommended. This is first time this has happened to me with Amazon which has otherwise been a very good experience.
