Cool toy, but needs adjustments.
The downsides:
1. If you buy this, the first thing to do is put 4 layers of masking tape (cut into a circle) over the speaker. Otherwise, it is entirely too loud.
2. It's also heavy, so 2 year olds need help flying it, but 3 year olds can handle it. Still, the wheels work well, so smaller kids can roll it.
3. The characters need an older person to get them seated.
The upside:
1. Fun, educational toy. Designed well, except for the points above.

Could be better...
I first saw this toy on ebay and started looking in our regular stores for it; finally, we found it at Target. My 5-year-old loves the Little Einsteins, so he was excited when I let him use his birthday money to buy this (since he was disappointed Santa didn't bring something like this last year). After taking it out of the box (much to my surprise, Fisher-Price improved the packaging so it doesn't take 30 minutes to get it out), we tried to put the figures in their seats - it's really difficult. They have assigned seats - opposite of the way they're sitting on TV, as far as I can tell - and need to be put in just right. To our surprise, when we put Leo in and pushed down, we heard June's voice, when we put June it, out came Leo's voice. I don't know if it's just ours that's wired wrong, but my son was disappointed by that. When it's turned on, it is just way too loud - hearing loss in the making. There is no volume control. I think the noise even bothers my son, because he rarely turns it on. I also agree with a previous reviewer that it's very heavy. Although it's a must-have toy for a Little Einsteins fan, since it's the only Rocket toy around that seats the figures, it could definitely use some improvement.

Great toy, with a few flaws
My 2 year old son LOVES this toy!!! He's played with it non-stop since we got it, but I have to be honest and complain about a few things that bug me about the toy that parents should know.
1. It is a LOUD toy with no volume adjustment. The sound effects and speech volume are louder than a normal conversation voice.
2. It is too heavy for my 2 year old to hold it up to make it fly. He needs our help to make it fly around, especially when we extend the handle on the bottom. I don't know why they would make such a heavy toy.
3. The lid for the cockpit has stopped staying open after only 2 days out of the box. So he can't take the figures in and out without having the lid slam down. Needless to say this make him very frustrated.
If it weren't for these things, this would be a 5 star toy for sure!

Fun for preschoolers!
I am so glad they are coming out with more Disney's Little Einstein toys. My 2 year old loves the show and he has been wanting a rocket toy to zoom around. I actually bought this at a Target store, they now have several Little Einstein toys, along with clothing as well. I searched the Target website and could not find it listed, except here on amazon. But it is available in stores if you don't want to pay for shipping. This is a Christmas present so we're waiting to play with it, but my son got very excited just seeing it on the shelf. There are also several playsets that interact with rocket (sold separately), right now there's an Egypt set (comes with Quincy) and a Alaska set (comes with June). I'm sure there will be more soon. But each playset has an item that will interact with rocket. You can also buy just the little characters, but to buy all four would be $10. I'm glad to have this rocket, even if everything does make noise/ music!
