Works great
I bought this for my Craftsman contractor saw. I have two cast-iron extensions, so it weighs a bit more than most similar saws. It is also well below the rated capacity of this base.
I set mine up for 24" x 28", which is doable, but barely, with the rails as supplied. I ordered the extension rail kit from HTC for an additional cost. It was worth it to me, as I wanted the most rigid base I could find. I also put floor of 3/4" plywood inside the base to tie it all together.
The results are spectactular; the base easily handles the load and it is both easy to move around, but also quite immovable when put into position.
It is exactly what I had expected when I ordered.

Not suitable for heavy equipment--
This HTC 3000 "heavy duty" mobile base is supposedly rated for 700 pounds, but I mounted my Grizzly 10" cabinet saw (less than 500 pounds) on it and, after moving it less than a half dozen times, one of the casters has completely disintegrated and a second one is coming apart. And this is on an absolutely smooth concrete floor. I tried without success to find a manufacturers number/contact to complain with no luck. Fine if you have a light-weight piece of equipment, but don't try putting anything near the "700 lb. capacity."

Poorly Designed
What's killing this product is that HTC went with cheap plastic lifting pedals that raise and lower the base. Mine lasted for about 2 years and then both pedals cracked. My table saw weighs 450lbs. The floor I am working on is flat, I move my saw about 5 feet each time and I have never left the base stay in a raised position for more than 2 minutes. I'm going to contact HTC to see if I can get a couple of replacement pedals (at a reasonable price). Make the investment and go with a base that does not use plastic pedals as this is the critical leverage point for the entire base.

HTC 3000
Works fine for a contractor table saw ~350 lbs. Moves easy and smoothly. I would have preferred it to be a little more solid when locked. I think it is the compliance of the rubber feet. You won't break the bolts if you keep in mind that they are 1/4-20 and use the appropriate torque.

really disappointed, not strong enough, cheap materials
I snapped about 4 bolts in half on this thing just tightening the rails together. That just shouldn't happen, for 700lb rating that type of flimsiness scares the crap out of me.
When I lifted one of the rear wheel stops, a piece of plastic snapped off from the pressure.
All in all, i was looking for a no-joke, heavy duty monster that scoffed at the weight of my jointer/planer, this thing just didn't cut it.
