I interviewed several medics and nurses, retired and on active duty, for a novel I was writing on the Iraqi war. - Never say never.
- The old saying is that you only really have one true love in a lifetime. One match, one chance, one go round with that special someone. Whether or not that's true, many times I think, is determined by people themselves.
However, its hard to argue a certain destiny or predetermined fate when it comes to some relationships. It seems they can and do survive anything. This wonderful story by Jill Maser gave me hope. It strengthened in me a belief that wavers and is sorely tested in today's world. A belief that true love cannot be defeated and cannot be lost. A must read for people who believe in the power of love. - 2007-06-15, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Love is Timeless
- Everyone has experienced a love that has endured their entire lives. Most of those loves are either unrequited or impossible. They are stored in the back of our minds and hearts, hidden on a dark shelf, collecting dust. Sometimes, when we are alone, we draw them out, wipe away the dust and stare at them. Almost always, we struggle not to cry. Then it goes back on the shelf before anyone comes home, before anyone else sees us. This is the power of such a love.
It is also not so healthy. What is healthy is to let such a love blossom, no matter the distance of miles or time. "Unspoken" is about the power of that kind of love. It is about never letting go.
It is worth your time. - 2007-06-15, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
