- Finally, a toilet seat that closes itself!
- I saw this at a friends' house and knew I had to have it, I needed to replace a toilet seat. This Kohler seat is easy to install and once you slightly push on the lid or seat, it will continue to close, quietly. It looks great and is easy to clean. What more could you want from a toilet seat?

- mundane quality
- How do you get excited about a toilet seat? Not an object that normally ignites the imagination. This is a well engineered object, constructed with diligence and commitment to quality, and delivered quickly, providing complete satisfaction. A mundane yet satisfying purchase. Perfect.

- Very hard to install
- The seat is terrific once it is installed properly. The problem is that the black metal piece that fits into the back of the seat has four possible positions and it isn't at all clear which is the correct one. Figuring it out is difficult, time consuming and physically challenging and tiring. The instructions and graphic don't address the issues at all. A few words and a picture are all that is needed.

- Why aren't all toilet seats designed this way?
- Recently came across this type of toilet seat in a Hyatt hotel and liked the concept. The toilet seat closes quietly with just a touch -- it does not require you to keep your hand on it all the way down to prevent a bang. After installing it, we discovered that it is also easy to remove for cleaning. The only minus is that I don't find the contouring of the seat to be as comfortable as our old one.
