- Very nice bird house
- This wooden bird house is very nice. It was super easy to put together and is made from nice wood, not cheap stuff. The interior walls are the only card board like materials and they are inside. It does take some time to assemble, but the parts are well identified.
I use mine as a general birdhouse, and the Wrens have already moved into the attic section. Other birds have been investigating the two lower levels.
The only downside I see is that it might be difficult to clean out if that is your plan. The roof is screwed on and that would have to be undone to get to the interior, unless you cleaned it out through the holes.
Outside of that cleaning issue, which I think I will leave to the birds, this is a great bird house for an excellent price. - 2008-06-02, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Not the highest quality construction- good for the price.
- Typical purple martin houses cost much, much more, so I was happy to find this one at such a low price. The final assembled product is pretty good, but a damaged piece of wood left a big space in the top 'floor' of the birdhouse. Also, some of the pre-drilled holes were missing or off the mark. These are not difficult to fix, but it caused some confusion!
