- Nice product. Scuff-free padding is a plus. Lack of markings for inches and centimeters on side adjacent to wall for easy measuring and marking is a minus.

- Great Level!
- Moved into a new apt, and needed to put up some new shelves for the place. Previously I didn't have a level and I just eyed it (i know.. brilliant...) and that was just a disaster. so at the new place i decided to get a level. after reading the mixed reviews (but mostly good) on amazon, i decided to give it a try. at the time i got it for 15 bux, which was a win win situation anyway.
the level arrived and i was very excited to try it out, and i was slightly disappointed because the two hooks for my shelve were 32" apart so the two 'markers' were not able to reach both points. however this did indicate it's for frames and art works etc, but just keep in mind that for really long items the marking device is useless. but i resolved by drawing a thin, leveled, pencil line and drilled into that.
however, the level has a great weight, long, and of course the Gecko device helped, and i was able to get the level to level exactly where i want it. due to the weight and steadiness i was able to be precise and not move the level too far. I used it to put up my shelves, my new kitchen hanging unit, with much ease and they look great.

- Gecko convenience
- I really like the Gecko, however, it is only good for hanging items that are on the larger size. If you're hanging small frames, this tool won't help you. The three levels in the center prevent you from marking anything with holes/hangers that are smaller than about 8-9 inches apart. I still like it, I just wish I could use it for smaller items that I want to hang.

- A level with a couple of extra features
- Works as well as any other level. Two added features are: movable markers make it easier to hang items that require exact spacing between mounting points; gripping pads that engage the wall to minimize slipping when you press down on the level. Both of the features are handy. Note that these pads only provide additional friction -- you still have to hold the level in place -- these aren't suction cups that allow the level to stay in place by itself. One other note -- trying to steady any level on a wall that has even a slight outward bulge can be difficult, and the gecko pads don't really help in this situation.

- Pretty cool
- My co-worker got one so I had buyers envy and decided I needed one too. Basically a level like any other, has horizontal, vertical, and 45 degree bubbles. Has a rubber pad on the back that is supposed to help grip the wall so you can use it one handed, worked as well as a rubber pad on the back of a level can work. The main thing that is really cool about this item is that it has 2 sliding guides for hanging pictures. You put the level up to the back of your picture, move the guides over top of where the hanging tabs are, and then you move the level to the wall and you now know exactly where you need to fix your hangers to fit the picture perfectly. That's the main reason I bought it, along with the price. I purchased an Absorber with it to get the free shipping so it was a great deal.
