- Stick to paper maps!
- I purchased the Nuvi 760,after returning the 660 for its poor maps.The 760 came with 2008 maps,and Garmin would not let me download free 2009 maps.It seems the unit I bought had been activated 4 months earlier.I don't know if it is Garmin or Amazon sellig returned units as new,but no more Garmin products for me! I would not bet my life on the directions the 760 gave either.The nearest police were 5 towns away,same with hospitals.We have 2 police stations in this town,both over 25 years in the same location.Our hospital is 5 times the size of the nearest one the 760 gives! My 3 year old in-dash gps is twice as accurate!

- Garmin GPS 760
- Well I`ve wanted a GPS for an upcoming Alaska trip. I bought the Garmin because they been in the GPS business for quiet some time and from recommendations. Well after registering it on line witch seems to be the norm for anything you buy, pretty much there way of getting your personal information. Garmin registration process could sure use some tec. help. The problem I'm having is I'm only getting one bar on the satellite reception, and then within about a minute I lose that. Now I'm living about 15 miles from Sacramento CA. (Pretty dam flat.) I think the final straw was when I went to there web sight went to help section about the most round about way to get from A to B witch turned out be no help at all. (Not surprised) I did do an e-mail to the support an estimated 3 day wait. Well I think the bottom line is with anything electronic especially computer based always turns into hours on the internet or the phone to tec. Support, most cases both. One would think in this high tec. world you would just plug it in and be done. Even a low tec. toaster works like that. Well for me I'm going to return my Fathers days gift, buy a $5 dollar map no batteries required a nice Tommy Bahamas shirt no tec support just button and go.

- Awesome Product
- Garmin has a hit. We use the Nuvi 760 to go everywhere. Not sure what you want for dinner...put in the type of food..let's say American.. and it gives you all American-type food near you. Places you'd forgot about suddenly appear. Opens up so many possibiities and makes your road navigation so easy. Miss the turn, Nuvi says "recalculating" and gives you the next best route. It's truly amazing and worth every dime!

- Nuvi 760 is fab!
- Very easy to use. It's compact but has a big screen. I'm using lake maps with it playing MP3 files. I use the Bluetooth hands-free calling and I love it all.

- Have enjoyed using, however, it is disturbing to buy a product in 2008 loaded with a 2006 map that already needs to be updated. The update was in the store before our unit arrived.
