Pop music with indie sensibilities and an experimental edge permeate much of this album, and it is topped off with Nash's distinctive estuary vocal stylings. - Great Pop for This New World
- What more can you ask for?: Super pop melodies, cute face, interesting voice, attitude exuding equal shares of innocence and brashy.
Take a chance on this English lass. She may take advantage of you but you won't regret it! - 2008-04-29, 0 of 2 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Loved the album: Fun BritPop with some bite!
- Kate Nash has a great sense of humor with a keen eye for observation and an ear for flirty melodies. If you like Lily Allen, you should definitely check out Kate. She has a bit of a potty-mouth, but I find it completely appropriate and highly amusing. I definitely wouldn't want to fall victim to her lyrical pen, but I'd listen to it! It's great music to get you going and enjoy as you drive about town.

- WTF!
- Made of Bricks by Kate Nash is the sloppiest album I have ever heard. I can't believe how terrible her voice is! She can't carry a tune and her songwriting is pretty vile, hey I like a girl to express her mind but jeez this takes the cake. The only thing I liked about Made of Bricks is the album cover, Kate Nash needs to take some singing lessons now!!!

- Great change of pace
- It's been a while since I liked a "Pop" artist enough to purchase their CD. But Kate Nash is kind of like a breath of fresh air for me. Each song has it's own catchy style and I catch myself singing "Foundations" about 5 times a day.
