- Great device for the price$
- The device is amazing ....everything I need is there ...co complain...
3 minor features that I would like to see in the device:
1-current street address as you move 3324 ..3326 ..3329 like that...
because it is not very accurate...sometimes says you arrived 2-3 houses before yours...
2-bigger screen would be great because I use it a lot...but this one is still good enough if you will use your GPS maybe once a week or so...
3- more accents ...
In general the device is almost perfect...I love it.... - 2008-12-01, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- should have bought the nuvi
- Just bought this about a month ago. Couldn't test it out at the store but I was in a hurry. Thought it looked good but now that I'm using it, I'm not satisfied. I don't find it easy to use except for really simple stuff like get me to this address or get me to the nearest mcdonalds. It's OK for that. But I've been borrowing my husband's garmin for years and my car has built in GPS (both of which have their own quirks) so it's not like I don't know how to use a GPS system. This magellan doesn't do what I thought would be standard by now, e.g., finding a restaurant or hotel near your destination or along your route while you're still in transit. Instead, you have to abandon the route, input the address for a map location, then look for the hotel nearest that location. Once you are en route, you can't do much. My unit just gives me the choice of the navigation stuff (magnify, etc.) or the main menu, but the main menu doesn't give you many options until you instruct it to cancel the route navigation, then the other choices come back to life. My family finds the voicing annoying because it voices not just turns but every selection you make on the thing. I thought I would use the AAA feature, but I don't. I was hoping for something more user friendly that the old garmin but this doesn't seem to have all the functionality we want.

- peanuts
- The device worked well except when I tried to install a map update the device locked up. Magellan had me send it back to them for different unit which did the same thing. I am still waiting to receive another unit to see if it will except the map update. Third time is a charm???

- Get a Garmin!!
- I have had and given Garmin GPS units as gifts. I decided to buy this one to try a competitor. Will never buy another Magellan. The traffic alert system whichI paid extra to subscribe to is worthless. The charger is cheaply made and fell apart. I bought a replacement charger from Shack and can't operate and charge the unit at the same time. The touch screen is too small and often doesn't respond.
Buy a Garmin!!! - 2008-11-13, 0 of 2 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- All I expected and more!
- I was given the same model as a gift thinking it would be a waste. However, I soon was very impressed with it and had to buy a second one for the business. It really does all, and more than I ever expected.
Great Buy! - 2008-11-13, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
