I'm often asked, “What's the most fun you ever had on a project?” It would be a close call, and the contenders might surprise you. Shrek? Harry and the Hendersons? 3rd Rock from the Sun? No. The most fun I have ever had was with the most important people in my life: my children. My favorite times with them include what we call our “palooza” time—planning a knight's birthday celebration for my son with cardboard castles, swords and family crests; the puppet shows my children put on with their hand-made puppets; a treasure hunt at the National Gallery. Paloozas depend totally on the inexhaustible creativity, ingenuity, imagination, and sense of fun in young minds. They're wacky. They're wild. They're even ridiculous, but in the end, they are the best of times with our kids. Care to try one?
