An avid writer of science fiction, most of my friends and family have encouraged me to write about my experiences with animals. This is an account of a true story, the struggle of an abused mare who overcame her fear and pain, to become a very dear friend to me. Through my experiences with her, I realized that horses would forever be a part of my life, and that I would continue to devote my time helping horses with emotional and physical injuries.
