St. Sebastian and the Ravioli of Love and Other Tales of a Time in Italy
![]() | Average Customer Rating: Recommend I moved to Italy, to the beautiful Isola de La Maddalena, in 1992, serving in the US Navy. My son was born in Italy, and I fell in love with the land, the sea, and the Italian people, with their open and generous hearts. We left after four years, but in my secret heart I will always be Italian. These stories are fiction, I swear, every word of them. Product details and pricing info |

- A gentle story with Subtle moments
- St. Sebastian and the Ravioli of Love and Other Tales of a Time in Italy" is a gentle story with subtle moments, flowing through different narratives and the changing seasons. Nina arrives in a small Italian village, alone and pregnant -- an American visitor in a foreign land. Nina doesn't remain a stranger long as the villagers embrace her with gifts of generosity and friendship.

This short story is an Amazon short, a wonderful way to sample an author, or like me to get more of a favorite author, just 49 cents and instant gratification.
Nina has an innocence about her, seeing things through eyes that can still enjoy the wonders of life and the excitement of new people, new places and new foods. Sarah interjects her story with the visual images of Nina's new home, creating a wondrous tale of discovery and friendship. Her characters are vividly described, given an enriching depth that is so vital to a short story. As I've said before, Sarah is a unique and gifted storyteller. - 2007-12-08, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
