- Love it !
- Since most places that have WiFi also have electric outlets, I carry
the EEE around without the battery -only the plug in chord. It's light
as a feather !!! The best PC/phone that's every happened to me ! - 2008-07-18, 2 of 3 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Asus, "A" is for Awesome!
- I bought two of these little guys for my twin daughters who will be starting middle school next year. They are not gamers and really only want to use email, surf the net, and do homework; for which the Asus is just right. Since they are petite girls, the size of the lap top is perfect for them. The interface is a simple tabbed menu with large icons. The resolution is very nice for such a small screen. The only issues with the wifi we have encountered so far is occasionally we have to re-connect to the router to find a connection. But that's probably a router issue and nothing to do with the Asus. Because there is no hard drive, the lap top is bit more rugged, which is good for kids. I did purchase an 8 gig SD card for each so they could have more space to save homework and the like. We just use Google for things like calendar and docs, so that works well too.

- A Superb Buy
- I love this little guy. He's the perfect portable tool for writing, emails, light organization and editing. I've had no problems with the keyboard or screen being too small. The intuitive interface is well organized and easy to use. I've sewn up a little holder for it and I take it any time I think I'll use it. For the price, this really can't be beat. It has paid me back with portability and more efficient work habits (because I can take him with me to use the odd hour here and there when I'm out) in the first two weeks. GO ASUS!
One thing I was very concerned about was compatibility with my Mac G4. I've had absolutely no problems. All documents and spreadsheets have been seamless. AND, I use Numbers and Pages (the Mac equivalent to Excel and Word, which far overreach these applications.) I just save them as word or excel and open them up in OpenOffice using a flash drive. Again GO ASUS!
The only bad thing I've encountered is slight confusion in connecting to Wireless. Once you do it, it's fine, but the instructions could be a bit more helpful. Also, the dictionary it comes with seems to be a bit lower quality than a Webster, but is still very useful and accessible. - 2008-07-18, 1 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
