- Can't find your way into a bag, I guess.
- These bags work wonderfully well, if you read and follow the instructions. Either these people are here at the behest of those marketing the drop-in-the-drawer products competing with these, or they're too dense to follow simple instructions--or maybe too lazy to change a paper towel out twice a week. We've kept things at least three times as long, both in refrigerator and out.
And you don't refrigerate bananas unless you're going to eat them right away--they're a unique TROPICAL FRUIT, they don't do well in the cold, no matter WHAT they're stored in--or NOT stored in. It's the cold that rots them, not the bags. Sheesh. Morons. I could give these to a monkey and he'd use them better than this bunch of bananas. LOL. - 2008-09-07, 0 of 5 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- green bags
- We are pleased with the green bags. They do save money by reducing waste.

- Worse Than No Bag!!
- I'd like to know who's paying those people who rave about these USELESS bags! They DO make produce rot FASTER!! I was always told never to store fruits and veggies in plastic bags, because they ACCELERATE spoilage by trapping moisture. Well, hope springs eternal, so I blew 10 bucks plus shipping, only to find that green ones do it too! Someone please tell me... where do we draw the line between "exaggerated claims" and flat-out FRAUD!! On a lighter note, I found they do make good dog-poo bags. The stuff doesn't look as gross in green as it does in clear.

- I love these bags!
- I have not used these bags with bananas so I can not speak to that issue.
I have however, been using Debbie Meyer Green bags for all of my produce kept in the refrigerator. For instance, I have never been able to keep celery crispy for more than a few days - until I put them in a DM bag. I promise I had celery stay crispy green for over two weeks! I use them for potatoes, carrots, green beans, cantaloupe, blueberries, strawberries, even avocados!
I see that the price has been reduced - perhaps from the bad reviews so I am going to buy up twice what I intended.
Obviously I would highly recommend DM green bags.

- What a rip off!!
- With all of the money lost on produce going bad, I was anxious to try these bags. Note: I did not read these reviews prior to my purchase. I bought the bags along with some beautiful strawberries and grapes yesterday. I did not wash them and followed the directions to a tee (folded the bag over, made sure there was no moisture inside the bag, etc). My strawberries and grapes were already starting to mold and rot THIS MORNING. I could not believe it. I wish I would have just put them in a regular Ziploc baggie. Luckily, the store I bought them from took them right back. I am validated in my feelings about these bags judging by all of the negative reviews. If you have purchased these, get your money back!! You have not done anything wrong!! The bags just simply do not work!! They are being marked down for a reason!!
