- I met Letha Hadady years ago on one of her walking tours of Chinatown during a medical conference through Columbia University. The slender blonde was beautiful and energetic, and had bright green gold eyes. She showed us exotic plants and pills sharing her vast knowledge of Chinese medicine. This amazon short includes her advice on natural ways to deal with stress, reduce anxiety, and boost immunity during air travel. Among many treatments are homeopathic and herbal remedies, aromatherapy oils, instant teas for improved digestion and massage points to enhance breathing. They have helped me to stay alert yet calm while traveling. I used to drink and sweat the entire flight. Now I go into a kind of herbal trance and smell like lavender all over.
Hadady's stories of early travelers to Tibet are amazing. They faced tremendous hardships to reach their goals. Hadady asks, "How far would you go to reach your ideals?"
