Certainly not PSP
I snatched this product up since I was such a huge fan of Corel Paint Shop Pro, I've been around it since it's Jasc days. After installing it, I have to say that I was disappointed. I thought that maybe Corel Photo-Paint would be similar, and it is, but it lacks in many ways. I'm not much on drawing, so I never could get Draw to work. I've gone back to using PSP.

Very nice product
This product downloaded with little problems and does exactly what it is supposed to do. The graphics are incredible. I cannot recomend higly enough for working with computer graphics.

Useful, fun, from amateur to professional.
This has been tried by a savvy 9 year old nephew, a professional designer in the family, and a normal guy (me). We all found the program useful for our different levels of expertise. The designer had the most uses for this product, and preferred other ways of doing some of the design work... but this was intuitive, easy to handle, and quite powerful as to how it can change images and create design.

A New Top Performer in Graphics
Okay... I've been using the CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X4 for over two months now. I resisted the urge to review it right away, because the darn thing is so complex and multifaceted that I feared my initial positive reaction would be dimmed with greater exposure. Not to worry!
I've been using (maybe I should now say `was' using) Adobe Illustrator for some time, but this is far superior in terms of usability and functionality in my opinion. I don't mean to go on an anti-Adobe rant, but if you're constantly clicking the right mouse button, cursing and then going to the menu bar for a simple command like `copy', then hallelujah an alternative is here! I sometimes think that Adobe too often sacrifices usability and convenience in their quest to produce a kickass product that will work with Windows without looking like another Microsoft product. There, I've said it... deep cleansing breath... and on to the remainder of the review.
The CorelDRAW X4 graphics functionality takes second chair to nothing else I've used. So much so that I wish my employer would allow me to use it, instead of the Illustrator (oops... I didn't want to badmouth those guys again). And the PowerTRACE application produces far superior results than any other graphics trace I've ever used, period.
With all of that, you might think that the Photo-Paint component would be an afterthought, barely more than an enhanced version of innumerable free photo editors available with Microsoft or Google (Picasa). But it's nothing of the sort. I've been grudgingly using Photoshop Elements (sorry, I just can't stand the gallery nonsense that they put you through) for a while now, but Photo-Paint is now my editor of choice; better enhancement and ease of use make this a new fave for me.
For all of the detailed specs, read the ones in the product description above the reviews. You don't need me to parrot any of that back. Suffice to say that I found the suite to be easy to install, way easier to work with and producing far more satisfying results than any graphic suite I've encountered.
The `oops' in all that is that now I may have to upgrade my digital camera, in order to get even more benefit from the darned thing. Is there any chance that Amazon Vines might need a review of the Pentax K10D 10.2MP Digital SLR any time soon (wink... wink...)?

Overwhelming, but we probably aren't the target audience
My son has recently become very interested in video editing and on-line animation and drawing. He's quite good with computers, and so when I got a chance to review this product, I was thrilled and jumped on it. However, after a month trying to use it, we all feel a bit overwhelmed by it!
It was amazing what a huge heavy box this suite arrived it. There were all kind of manuals, and even a nice t-shirt! It took us a while just to figure out just what it was we needed to install, and were a bit amazed it was just one DVD!
The installation went quite smoothly. We used a fairly low-end but up-to-date laptop, and had no problems, which is always such a good feeling.
The right approach to a massive suite such as this is to spend a long time viewing the videos, reading the manuals, etc. However, if you have a 10 year old who thinks he knows it all, you know this didn't happen! He jumped in and tried to use the software right away. After an hour or so, he wasn't able to do much, which almost made me happy---as I sat down, read a few help files and uploaded a photo and played with it happily for a long time! It really was amazing all the effects you could do, and fairly easily. By the time I was done, the picture looked like far out modern art.
Then, I tried to figure out how to use the included clip art. I thought I would make some address labels. I soon felt overwhelmed and just couldn't figure out what to do.
I am sure we are not the target audience of this software. I really hate to even give it a star rating, as I'm sure it's not fair. I think it would be WONDERFUL if you are a graphics person working in an office, with time to figure everything out. However, I do have to say that several times I've tried to use Corel products that were included with my computers over the years, and have never gotten too far, and those products were more aimed at the "regular" person. No matter what you want to say about Microsoft, usually their products are set up so they can be accessed pretty easily, at least on the surface.
Of course we will continue to try to figure out all the bells and whistle included here, and I'm sure this will get more use. Or even if it doesn't, we sure do like the t-shirt!
