- Comprehensive Program for the Novice
- I had been wanting a photo program to edit some digital photos, so I ordered Photoshop Elements 6. The product is very comprehensive and offers much more that I will probably ever use. After reading other Amazon reviews about the technical nature of the program and the fact that it comes with little in the way of written instructions, I bought the Missing Manual at the same time I ordered the program. It is a good photo editing program, but don't expect it to be intuitive in nature. Once I learn how to use more of its features I am sure I'll appreciate it more.

- As a retired pro, this is a good program for general use
- I am a retired visual and product designer. I was for over 30 years. I used Photoshop. Photoshop Elements 6 is no Photoshop, but it pretty close. If you don't need capabilities to do high end professional work, then this program will fit your needs in regards to photo enhancement, effects and etc. I use it all the time.

- Video Friendly
- I was looking for a program to help me build still images for iMovie and Photoshop Elements fit the bill perfectly. It was easy to learn how to use and worked well for creating title slides for my iMovie projects.

- Caution: OSX 10.5 File System Requirement
- Photoshop Elements 6 for Mac will not install if your hard drive is formatted using Case Sensitive Journaled HFS+. This requirement is not mentioned in the Elements 6 documentation.
The current fix is to reformat your hard drive using non-case sensitive HFS+. Mac users who need the case sensitive drive format are out of luck with Elements 6 at this time.
