This story developed when a group of authors decided to do an anthology where they would begin with the same premise (characters waking up the day after Armaggedon and discovering great changes) and the same characters. The only difference was that each author was to write the story in a different genre, e.g. science fiction, mystery, contemporary fiction. I chose western. Unfortunately this project never came to fruition but my story survived the Armageddon of the anthology. It is a powerful story and deserves to survive.
