The item is hand blown...which is an artistic way to express that each item is unique. This is true, but, part of the uniqueness is lopsidedness, color variations that are not organic...lines of purple that were meant to be blended, but didn't.

- The item is beautiful; large and a great color. You need in inspect it when it arrives. I ordered several and 2 arrived broken - aparently UPS's fault. Amazon was very helpful and sent replacements immediately, but I'm fortunate that I inspected them upon arrival. - Pictures do not do justice for this item. I was thoroughly surprised when it arrived. You kinda have to look at it three or four times to catch all the different ways that it reflects and refracts the light.
