Lots of static: I too thought the National Geographic name would make this a reliable product. However, all you can really hear is the static. It is not worth even the $10.00.… More reviews

NG walkie talkie: The walkies look fine, seem hardy but the static is very loud and renders the walkies almost unusable. you can barely heard the other person talking, we were less then 30 feet apart. I purchased these to call my kid in from the backyard without yelling, and they barely work for that. More reviews

Terrible product: Bought these thinking National Geographic was a good product name, but once more than 10 feet apart even with line of sight you lose communication. Thankfully I bought them at my local Target so I'll be bringing them back tomorrow. More reviews
