Run away! Save yourself while you still can!
Norton 360 is an utter disaster. You will lose the ability to right-click, as doing so causes Windows Explorer to crash, every time, if this program is installed.
This was true for me on two separate machines, both less than a year old.

Dropped the ball 360 degrees
Symantec is taking some seriously flawed turns: (1) Thirty days before my old 360 was due for renewal, I got pop-ups from Symantec several times per day telling me I was X days out from renewal. Your security product is supposed to protect you from pop-ups, not send them. (2) Turns out now subscription is not only for anti-virus updates but for the entire package. (3) Several problems renewing -- different prices and info for the same products on the Symantec Web site and installed update feature; renewal screen said it accepts American Express but offers credit card input format only for Visa/Mastercard; Symantec charges an additional $10 for continued download service, meaning the subscription is only good for a year if you can download it successfully and not need to access the installation again?! (no better explanation is offered); renewal is good for three PCs, but no explanation offered as to how with single download to one PC; overly complex and largely useless customer support. (4) The renewal installation failed and I was forced to uninstall the old version and then start over. Two afternoons wasted. A 360-degree BAD experience.

Good protection for Novice users.
I use this on my Wife's and Children's computers. It does most things automatically so I don't have to spend as much time making sure there computers are protected. I like the back-up feature as a saftey measure. I do not like the limited (as compared to the NIS 2008 package I have on my computer) controls, but it does it's job and does it well. It is weak in the Antispyware department- I suggest googling to find a better recommended tool than this offers. Everything else is top notch. Practically a set it and forget it product- not much fuss.

I will never own Norton again, it SUCKS
Norton 360 caused my computer to slow down. It overrides the tool bars I want to see, with its own tool bar. I turned off that stupid Norton toolbar, and after about 1/2 hour of use, it pops up and prevents other tool bars from loading. I have to reboot to get rid of it. Do your self a favor, DON'T BUY THIS.

My Opinion of Norton 360
Since I have installed this product, I have noticed that all of the spam items have been blocked. Also, have been informed if I am about to entered into an unsafe area. Lets me view the status of networks that I am connected to. Lets me correct problems easily with the 1 click support feature. Analyzes the defragmentation level of my computer & provides me with a report.Protects me from malicious keyloggers & screen capute applications. It can automatically turn off my computer after the completion of certain tasks. And best of all, Norton 360 performs security checks in the background when my computer is idle. Also, Automatically blocks exploits of known internet explorer vulnerabilities.
