Great Product- Freaky cats!
I love the idea of this kitty box, however my cats are not too keen about it. Side by side they continued to use the old box. Letting the old box slide in cleanleness they still favor it- the seem to not mindnig to urinate in it but they wont poop in it? I dont know why! but they may not have a choice with a cross country trip coming up and the old box is not coming! It does soak up the urine without smell and the litter is much cleaner (no dust). I think the noise and the give of the box when they go in it sort of freaks them out- hopefully they will start to poop in it!

worked for a while, but ultimately, no
It took a while for our cat to give in and use this box (10 days, 2 weeks?) and then only because she had no choice. Then she used it for a while but would complain (for a month or 2?). Then one day we found a "gift" on the carpet. Oh well, back to old litter box. Don't want to torture the poor girl. In addition, the box does have a strong urine smell even if you change the pads every week. Other than that the product was fine. If your cat likes it, and you don't mind a strong urine smell, then this may work for you.

Do you guys just sit around for your cat to poop?
This product seemed excellent at first. But it simply is too good to be true. Yes the pee smell is completely eliminated. Taking a cue from those excellent puppy pee pads, this system is perfect for ridding yourself of cat pee once in for all. And yes, it is true I never had a problem with litter getting outside of the box.
However, the biggest problem/design flaw (and it is a big one) is the way the system handles poop. There is absolutely nothing done for the smell of poop and you are expect to find poop as soon as it happens and dispose of it appropriately. This is all well and good if you happen to work at home, be a stay at home husband/wife, however in the real world-we working class. I don't sit around at home all day waiting for my cat to poop. I clean the litter box when I get back from work.
Well after using this for a week, I am absolutely tired of coming home to an apartment (seriously, who is saying this is perfect for small living arrangements) filled with the smell of cat poop. My old litter box would sometimes smell badly when I came home, though not too bad, nothing a little candle warmer couldn't fix.
And you are certainly SOL if your cat gets slightly wet stool or THE nightmare for this thing, diarrhea.
Get a mat for under your litter box if your buying this because of that issue.
If Tidy Cats can handle the poop situation better, this thing would be perfect, but it simply isn't worth the headaches of terrible poop smells that fester and germ up through the day while I'm at work.

VERY Happy....
I live on a second floor apartment and I hated carrying containers of heavy litter every week and I really hated that "sandy" feeling on the tile floor every day before I swept. I read the recommendations of how to convert the cats from the old box to the new one. I decided to dive right in, so I put the old litter box out on the balcony and only left the new box in the laundry room. Within 30 minutes I heard my male cat doing his "business" in the new box...yeah! My female cat was not so easy. It took her a full day and she did not look happy and I was *this* close to bringing in the old box when I finally caught her using the new one. So my cats were perfectly fine after one day. Yes, it cost a little more than traditional scoop litter, but I will never go back. This litter box is literally a breeze. (sorry for the pun.) :)

Takes time to transition, but it's worth the effort!
I have two female cats, both spayed. I bought this system for a few reasons. I was tired of the cats tracking and kicking granular litter all over. I was tired of bits of dirty litter causing litter box odor. The "flushable" clumping litter I was using (a recycled paper product) was not particularly absorbant, and also not particularly flushable. The basic transition instructions were not sufficient for my cats. I set up the new litter box beside one of their old boxes, but left all old boxes in place. One cat showed immediate intrest in the funny new thing and would do her number 1 business, but that was all. The second cat wanted nothing to do with it at all! I left the Breeze box in place for a few weeks, just to let the cats investigate it at their leisure as I began mixing in Breeze pellets with their old litter boxes. I also sprinkled a bit of their old litter over the new Breeze system so that the smell would be familiar. After approximately 1 month of transitioning, both cats accepted the new litter box and I have 3 Breeze systems in my home for the 2 cats. They're very happy and I'm thrilled with the product. There is NO ODOR. I scoop the solids and flush daily, and change the pads weekly. For anyone commenting that their cats just won't use it - cats are VERY particular about their litterboxes. It takes patience and going about the transition in a way that your cat will accept. I'm sure their are exceptions though - there's no explaining what cats will do!
