- Great TV
- This TV is incredible. Great picture, even in SD thru cable box and HDMI, decent sound, easy to setup and use. Screen reflection is certainly present (mostly notable when set is off) but with the swivel stand it doesn't have to be an issue. Red TOC looks nice against black frame, stand, and components. Olympics coverage is mesmerizing. Previous Mitsubishi WD-52527 (LCD rear projection), while still a great set, doesn't come close to this TV. Haven't needed to adjust the picture for any scene or lighting condition.

- I finally scraped up enough money to buy our long awaited big screen TV! I was overwhelmed by all the choices and did as much research as I could. I finally settled on the TV based on all reviews available and price. As always, Amazon beat everyone's price bar none. That given with free delivery and no slaes tax, we saved somewhere in the neighbordood of $1000.
That being said, delievery was fast. The TV arrived about 5 days ahead of the promised date. The only complaint regarding delivery was that the guy showed up alone. I am not quite sure how he would have gotten it in the house had I not been physically able to help him, but I was so it is a moot point. I was a little surprised he did not mention this when he called ahead though. Anyway, he was very helpful and waited patiently while we turned the TV on to make sure it was in working condition. He offered to take away the packaging, but we opted to keep it just in case we needed to ship it back for any reason.
As far as the television itself, I am very, very happy with it. It is light (as compared to my old tube style TV) and you hardly noticed the red border.(I was concerned about this at first) I actually like the subtle red accent. I find the remote easy to use and was very impressed with the quality of the sound that comes from the television even when the surround sound is off. Now I only use my surround sound to watch movies or special programs which I believe is an energy saver- every little bit counts.
I am very particular about my coler viewing; particularly fleshtones and reds. I had to do very litte "twoaking" with this set. And what I did do, was very simple to accomplish. Even with all the fiddling around I have done learning everything, the AA batteries that were included with the remote are still working fine after a solid month of use. Eventually I plan on replacing them with rechargables.
I highly recommend the A650 as well as Amazon's service. Amazon has never let me down and I use them for more and more of my shopping needs. - This TV is great has all the features I need and some amazing picture and well worth the money spent. The remote wheel stinks, but if you have cable you are able to program it so able to get away from that.

- Love the tv, loved the service
- I ordered the tv late on a Monday night, and by Thursday night the friendly delivery company called and said they had the TV ready to deliver to me. They happily worked around my schedule, set the TV up in my basement (and made sure it worked) and offered to take away all the trash. The TV was a couple hundred dollars cheaper on amazon than everywhere else, and it came to my door without my having to lift a finger. I'm very happy with everything.

- Touch of Color plastic bezel ruins otherwise good TV
- The Touch of Color plastic bezel is made of such soft plastic that it is impossible not to scratch. No matter how carefully you try to protect the plastic, any attempt to dust or clean the bezel results in fine scratches and eventually a white haze. What's worse, any lights in the room catch the hazy scratches and cause horrible, glaring reflections. I called Samsung technical support twice about this problem, and all they said was "we don't warrant against physical damage."
It's a shame, because the quality of the picture is very good. But you can't watch the picture because your view is contantly distracted by the glare from the bezel.
