- Weightless, comfy, but tiny break in period
- Newbies: Wearing Crocs is not like wearing shoes. They weigh next to nothing and are cushiony without feeling spongy. Your feet don't have to 'grab' them to stay on: you walk effortlessly, even with the backstrap worn forward over your arch, like clogs. They are waterproof, so the shoes are great for gardening, and the ventilation holes will help your feet breathe; you don't have to wear socks, but I do to avoid any hint of sweaty feet. That's not a real problem for me, but feet vary. After a short period of wearing them, they become even less noticeable as they conform to your feet. Two days later, most of you won't remember any problems, if you had them. Note: They will wear out eventually, especially if you wear them frequently on concrete. Replace them when the soles wear down, before they become dangerously slippery.
Previous users: Remember that new Crocs won't fit like the old ones. The need time to adapt to your feet, particularly the backstrap, which will feel shorter at first.
All: Khaki is a wonderful dust color for summer wear. Chocolate is not exactly milk chocolate or bittersweet. It's got a bit of green tinge, which makes it quite attractive for brown feet. - 2008-08-12, 2 of 2 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Good, Not overwhelming
- I have not found these sandals as comfortable as most people profess--especially at the price. I have a pair of take-off crocs I got at a discount store, and they have a softer sole, which makes them more comfortable. I do have narrow feet, which may be a factor. The Caymans are narrower than the Beach sandal and they do clean up nicely, but my feet swim in them, and I have worn them for a while now, and they do not seem to be conforming to my feet, as I thought they might. In sum, if you have narrow feet and are seeking a softer shoe, you may not care for these.
