You don't have to be a tech geek to set this up (for the most part)
I like linksys routers for the most part. I had one previously and decided to stick with the brand because I was pretty happy with my old wireless router.
My old wireless router stopped working and I tried to revive it. I wasn't able to revive it so I went to internet support. They gave me some useless instruction and then told me my router was out of warranty. The moral of the story is to not use internet support. The Linksys phone support is much better.
I bought this router and tried to set it up. It has a fancy interface to set up your internet connection and the router and the security. It does it all for you. The problem is that it didn't work for me. My internet provider is difficult to set up with wireless router because they want you to pay for their wireless setup services. So I called Linksys support, walked through their automated installation instructions on the phone, and it worked. It's surprising how good their phone automated support is. The catch is that I may not have needed to buy this new router if I had called their support line earlier.
Anyways, my starred review is based upon three things: First, the reliability of the Linksys router that I had before, which is pretty good. Second, the effectiveness of the support: internet support- useless, phone support - good. Third, the setup process is just okay. The setup can be pretty difficult if your internet provider is finicky. If your internet provider is plug-and-play, you shouldn't have any difficulty.

Easy install wireless router works great.
I purchased this router as a replacement for a faulty Vonage wireless router. Long story short, this device in combination with a new Vonage device totally fixed the problems with my phone.
This router was easy to install and took only about 5 minutes to get my wireless devices (a Wii and a laptop) up and running. I am not a computer repair person, though I'm pretty comfortable with electronic device setup and for me there were no problems at all. I've had the router over a month and am 100% satisfied.

No problems so far
I have had bad luck with wireless routers. Being stubborn it was time to try again so I purchised the WRT54G2. The setup was very easy and so far not one problem with the router. I have not had to reset it once, which was a big problem for me with Linksys wireless model this new model is replacing. The firewall in the router has not caused any problems with any of my other programs. Overall I am very happy with the router, knock on wood :)

Easy, quick, solid
This was very inexpensive and low-profile, so it's a great router for "the parents". Beyond that I have no experience.
