- so easy and childish game yet impossible to play
- this has got to be one of the worst wii games i ever played, even worse than trauma center. where do i start?
for one its hard to control despite how simple the controls are, some of the challenges in the beginning of the game are nearly impossible to beat and the rating system. i thought it would be fair if the performance rating would average each rating such as turning and speed together, but no thats not the case, it takes the lowest grade and makes it the final grade, so if i got an A grade in everything and a D in turning, my overall grade would be a d. another thing, you are rated on how much you turn, which makes no sense because theres no reason to turn excessively on courses where you are going straight down, or courses that require little turning, you should only turn as much as you need to. i have had it with this game.
how is this game so easy yet so hard, well when one of the training courses kept failing me cause i did not turn enough despite me turning the entire time. it was relatively easy to control cause i was getting used to the balance board, but it was failing me even though i did it right.
it is not all bad, i kind of like how when im playing the game at night time i have the option to choose to play the game in the night time setting, but thats not saying much.
i am usually the one not to complain about video game graphics, but these are just so bad, in some cases the graphics can get worse than the n64, like when people talk.
another problem i have with this game is the lack of wii remote usages, all you to is push down to speed up and wiggle your arms in mid air do do a random airborne trick. i was not expecting much out of we ski, but i did not know it would be this horrible. - 2008-10-08, 3 of 4 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- FUN GAME!
- I ordered this for my 6 year old grandson and he has enjoyed "WE SKI". It starts out with ski school and then allows different types of competitions.

- Skiing without the cold weather
- I found the we ski is a fun product that gives you a very close feeling to real skiing when you have the wii fit board without dealing with the cold and wet weather. I addition to that you never need to stand in line for the next ride and it is a good preparation for the next skiing season.

- Not skiing - but still fun
- I'm an expert skiier of many years and was really looking forward to this game. Figured i could hone my skills when off piste, but No. Even with the Wii balance board, this doesn't come close to actually skiing. The controls are way to off kilter for what you actually do when skiing. If you are looking for a ski simulator experience, look elsewhere. However, this game is still fun, especially if you just use the Nunchuk and skip the balance board. So i still gave it 3 stars. Takes a bit of getting used to, but it is fun. But not the same as skiing.

- We Ski: 2 Generations
- My son and I get very different things out of this game. My son is a 11 year-old competitive gamer and he enjoys "beating the game" by doing all the activities and winning all the races. I am getting something different from the game. I am enjoying taking my time, seeing all the sights (the scenery in the game is actually quite beautiful), and relaxing. I have a very stressful job, and after a frustrating day, I can get on my balance board "ski" around and I can feel my blood pressure go down immediately.
