The HT-S4100 is the perfect platform for integrating virtually any iPod for audio playback. When connected to the RI Dock, you can control your iPod with the system's remote control. CinemaFILTER restores the correct tonal balance for a movie soundtrack playing in the smaller confines of your home theater. CinemaFILTER can be used with DTS and Dolby listening modes, and is easily activated from your remote control. Built around a component taken directly from Onkyo's A/V receiver line-up, this package gives you unsurpassed levels of control, power and reliability. The gloss finish of the accompanying speakers gives it a visual appeal that matches the undeniable quality of the HT-S4100's A/V performance. The receiver's rear panel is designed so that you can connect it easily to your A/V components and speakers. Component video inputs/output are conveniently located on the top left of the rear panel along with the digital inputs for Dolby and DTS surround signals. 5.1-multichannel inputs can connect to compatible DVD and Blu-ray Disc players to receive audio output from high-definition discs. Onkyo's High Current Power Supply (H.C.P.S.) concept ensures that you will always have the power to respond to the wide dynamics of surround sound. Onkyo's Optimum Gain Volume Circuitry adjusts the gain so that less than half the standard amount of attenuation is necessary. - Good system except for subwoofer
- I set this system up and enjoyed the great sound but the subwoofer made a humming noise. Onkyo said that it needed repair and sent me to a certified technician. For me, that is an hour drive. The tech said the power transformer was busted but they couldn't get a new part from Onkyo. So I called Onkyo again and they said… More reviews

- This is my first 5.1 reciever and so far I am happy with my purchase. My first impressions were that everything was larger than expected, the sub sits about a foot and a half off of the floor.
