Excellent work light: I love the quality of light from this lamp. I use it for jewelry making, needlework, reading, and writing, and my aging eyes are grateful. Short floor lamp: It is all metal which was a pleasant surprise. The colors are pewter and charcoal. The style is more functional vs. aesthetic. The base is heavily weighted so no worry of it being easily knocked over. What I didn't like is the exposed cord and that the lamp extension is relatively short, a little over 4 feet fully extended.
