- Poor reception
- I purchased the Jawbone hoping it would cut down on wind noise. It did help quite a bit with wind noise, but the reception quality was so poor that it made it unusable. I suspect that you have to have a stronger signal than most for it to work properly but I haven't confirmed that. I ended up returning mine.

- Pops out of Ear
- Everybody who is on the other end of my conversations is happy, they say the noise canceling works VERY well, as compared to the 2006 model Platronics unit I was using before. I stood in front of a running diesel truck (big rig), and the person I was talking to said he only heard a little static, my voice was clear. I couldn't even hear MYSELF talking!!!
The only problem I have is the ear clip is spring loaded to keep the voice pickup pressed against the jaw, but it lifts the earpiece out of my ear making HEARING the caller difficult with background noise. It comes with four extra earpieces that install with a twist, but where they end up makes no sense. The unit would be straight up with the oval earpiece in the ear properly.
I received it with the earpiece holder detached from the unit with wires hanging out, it snaps back in easily, though.
If not for the user issues, I would give this 5 stars, it is just not user friendly...... - 2008-08-27, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Awful
- What a piece of junk. It's true I can hear well through it and that others say they can hear me well through it, but where it absolutely fails is in voice recognition with my Motorola Razr. I press the button and say, for instance, "Call Pat Moore" and it comes back with "Did you say, 'Call Yee Dental Center'?" (and then two other choices, none of which sound ANYTHING like Pat Moore). It's absolutely useless as a hands-free dial device in the car (required by law now in California). I hate it. I've tried it for a month and I'm throwing it away it's so bad. Don't waste your hard-earned money on this. (It also looks like cheap plastic in person, not like it looks in online pictures, and worse still, it seems really flimsy. Worst of all, there's no cigarette lighter charger for the car, which is the only place I use this, so I have to bring it in and charge it. That's just plain stupid.)

- Great Product
- Much improvement over standard bluetooth headsets. The noise cancelling really works! THe headset is more comfortable than others I have used and it has 4 earbuds to choose from as well as two ear loops.

- Me or it?
- I have about six of these devices, and I find that the worst part of all of them is that I can't keep them comfortably in my ear. Perhaps my ear is shaped weirdly (I don't think so... and in 64 years no doctor has, to my knowledge, remarked on the abnormal shape of my ears); or perhaps, these devices (despite a variety of adapters) just don't stay comfortably in a normal ear. Whatever it is... this Jawbone will take its place next to my other 5 bluetooth headsets, deep in my bureau drawer.
