- I had some problems with Sophia being a princess, but in the beginning, she was surprisingly likable - strong, determined, but not arrogant. However, this changed. - I have always loved this author. But this book was a major let down. I would love to see her take some time to go back to her old writing style and put out some wonderful books again. - I'm afraid that Gaelen Foley is being pressured by her publishers to get the books out quickly, because I've noticed the quality has gone down as the months between books has also gone down. - By far this is the worst Gaelen Foley novel I have read and I have read every one of them. Usually I like her writing but have been unimpressed with the Spice trilogy.
