except for the navigation icons being a little less than intuitive, once you understand sony-think, at is actually quite good. there are many user adjustable settings, wich is good, because out of the box, i was less than thrilled with the way it operated. every issue I had was adjustable to a mode I like.
the headphones? don't know and I will never use them. I have been using sony's 'in the canal' fontopia series for years, and love them, great for active people, too.
the sound? AMAZING SOUND. nuances appear that I never knew existed. clear, clean and smooth. never any harshness. my music source is thru internet subscription, which is one of the reasons I selected this unit, at 192kb.
