- not quite like the fresh stuff, but you don't have to worry about it going bad so quickly
- I usually won't use even a pint of fresh half & half before it starts to go bad, so this stuff is a pretty good compromise. They say it doesn't need refrigeration, but I keep it in the fridge anyway, figuring that should increase the "shelf" life.
