- Beware when you buy this product
- I purchased the full versions of Rosetta Stone for Spanish and French and considerable cost. When I attempted to activate the programs on my computer and my childrens' laptops, I found out that the programs could only be loaded onto 2 computers. This is a major problem, since I have 7 children and 3 of them and my wife also have laptops. I contacted customer support and after waiting for a very long time, eventually spoke to an agent who stated that there was "nothing she could do" and that I would have to purchase both products again. My warning to all who buy this product is to recognize this before you buy. This 2 computer restriction was "in the fine print" of the end user agreement and had to be looked for. Nowhere on the website for Rosetta Stone is this limitation stated. If I had known this before, I would not have purchased this product. The only way for my children to get this product is if I purchase both programs again, which I must say is totally unreasonable. Caveat emptor!

- Rosetta Stone delivers on every level
- This was our first experience with Rosetta Stone for any language, and we were excited to get right into it and see if it lived up to expectations. Installation and setup of the program took a little while but completed without a hitch, and everything functioned properly right off the bat.
The immersive learning process is truly wonderful, and even our seven year old is able to participate and learn without having to worry about it being too complicated to use. Personally, I've almost completed the entire course and I've found that I've learned quicker and easier with Rosetta Stone than I did in my entire two years taking Spanish in high school (after which I still had only mastered the basics). The native speakers method of compare/contrast to your own speech is really what makes this program so special, and probably why it's more effective than just learning from a high school teacher saying the words and having you write them down.
Overall, I cannot speak highly enough of this product. I recommend it to anybody who's interested in learning Spanish, whether for your career, travel, or just to broaden your language horizons. - 2008-08-28, 2 of 2 people found this review helpful, Rated:

- This is a wonderful program. Complete immersion is a great way to understand and learn. I recommend this product for the person who is genuinely serious about learning a new language.

- I really love this product, but I didn't realize that the headset came included in the box and I bought a headset separate. So, if you are wanting to purchase this product don't worry about buying a headset unless you need an extra one.
