Works Great
This is a wonderful product, it not only works, with no smell if you change the filters as instructed,
(though I find I don't need to change them quite as often as they say to) It also looks nice on the counter.
My only gripe is the Ridiculous price of shipping the extra filters, so order a lot when you do. I ordered only two, and ended up paying more for shipping than the product it self.

good design; useful
great compost crock for the kitchen. Design is basic and pleasing. It is small enough to fit in a cabinet under the sink, yet large enough to hold a decent amount of scraps for the compost heap.

Does the job for me!
Like the other reviewer I find the handle comes off all the time, but I didn't mind the look at all. It is virtually odorless, even when almost overflowing, and I stick the filter right in the dishwasher from time to time. I have only handwashed the crock, but it is easy to care for. I'm happy with it, and am not making hardly any waste since it arrived.

A hard-working beauty!
I've had this crock for about ten years, and am buying a new one only because I've chipped the rim deeply enough that some odors are escaping. It is beautiful on the counter - big, but coordinates with white ceramic canisters. Holds a LOT of stuff, and because it's so sturdy you can keep crunching stuff down as you add more. We've forgotten to empty it before a two-week summer vacation and found lots of new life inside but NO odors escaped! Handle makes it easy to carry, but was sometimes hard to dump out really impacted contents until we hit on the idea of simply putting a small paper towel in the bottom. It's pretty heavy to carry out when full, but that's the only real downside ... other than the fact that we finally found out, as sturdy as it is, it's ceramic and so not indestructible - though it took a LOT of bumps before chipping.

Unhappy
I was very unhappy when this crock arrived, I have seen many of these crocks from differenr manufactures, This one being the most expensive I thought it would be the best. I was wrong!! Crock looks cheap, the handle keeps falling off every time it is moved. Handle made from cheap wire. I would have sent it back if I did not live in such a remote location where returns are very expensive. I will not advise anyone to buy this product.
