- I liked the size and look of the netbook. Unfortunately my screen was defective and I had to return it. I ended up buying an ASUS 1000H which had wireless N, larger battery, and $100 less than an equivalent Wind with 6 cell battery.
Neither one is 100% perfect, but I am happy I switched. - 2008-09-30, 0 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Good Lil Laptop bad cust srvc
- This is the best netbook on the market right now it has the perfect size and specifications. When I tell people about it the first thing they say is what is MSI? So I tell them who they are, and they are not pleased until i show them. They absolutely go ballistic. The size and cute factor is what reels people in.
Whats on the bad side of this laptop is the customer service. They have a terrible phone system. You can follow every key prompt and still someone has to transfer you when you finally reach an operator. Thats after waiting for 30 min also. The reason why I had to call them was because the battery went kaput not even a week of owning it. Now this might be just my case but I have never had anything go out that quick before. I am still waiting for the laptop battery now. - 2008-09-28, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:

- Best purchase I've ever made on Amazon hands down, and I have bought a lot of stuff on here! I opted to put an alternative OS on this little treat of a UMPC. 10" is the perfect size too, 8.9" is too small for anything. Looks and works great, also practically dead silent.

- 3 cell battery is a joke!!!
- Awesome computer, however the 3 cell battery is woefully inadequate for a mobile computer. Only getting around 2 hours on a computer that specializes in mobility. They shouldn't have bothered with this until they had enough 6 cell batteries.

- Its the Real Thing
- I got the Wind via the pre-order from MSI, It is top quality, excellent display, and the atom is fast. Only problem, the wireless drivers are not available for linux so, I am stuck with XP for a while. There is a work around with Ubuntu, but it did not work for me. I had an asus eee pc 701 and 900. This unit is great. 5 stars, no complaints.
Updated 5/16: Still love this computer, but the battery life is not that good. However, the 3 cells are around because of the fire at the LG battery plant in Korea. Still, some of the Dell units that are bigger, only give you 4 cells as a started. So, I am not complaining. Still can't run linux wifi, which can be overcome by changing wifi card. But that will void warranty
UPDATED
I sold my Wind, I bought the Asus EEE pc 1000H. Bigger battery, and brighter screen. But I can upgrade the memory to 2G and the warranty is not voided. The 1000h flys with 2g. The wifi drivers still do not work with Linux, but you can plug in an external usb adapter and it works in Linux - 2008-07-12, 28 of 29 people found this review helpful, Rated:
