- Gordon Goodwin's, Act Your4 Age
- I thought the Big Phat Band had previously set the standard too high to even match their previous releases, I was wrong!. The latest effort is an amazing demonstration of perfect balance and outstanding performance from the best band in the USA (perhaps the world). As an old brass player I am continually gob smacked at their performances, track 9, which features the trumpet section is awesome. Big Band fans will just love this release.

- Must Hear
- If nothing else please pick this up to hear Art Tatum. I'm sure there are many people who are not familiar with his playing genius and Gordon Goodwin gives you this amazing vehicle to familiarize yourself.
As always his band is explosive, creative, and the arrangements are incredibly imaginative. - 2008-11-24, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- a wonderful collection of beautiful music
- I really enjoyed listening to this CD over and over again. The music hints of past moments in time, but sparks excitement at the moment you are listening to it. Makes you want to get up and dance, and incites your imagination of you being in an old club dancing in a contest, and winning. The CD act your age leads the listener to wonder just what their age is, as you feel young and rejuvenated just by listening.

- Big Phat Awesome
- This is great music. It's rare to find such talent on one CD. It takes me back to a place before I was born.
Gotta check out Gordon's new podcast Big Phat Chat. - 2008-10-24, 1 of 1 people found this review helpful, Rated:
