Does 75% of what the full version of Photoshop does--for a lot less money!: I have used every version of Photoshop Elements starting with Elements 2. Elements is a great (and much cheaper) alternative to the full Photoshop program. I once read this quote, "Elements does 75% of what Photoshop does for $75," and I would have to agree with it.

Very powerful: This is very powerful program. In many ways it is a bargain in that it has most of the elements of its big brother. As usual one can do almost anything with this issue. Not for me.: Saying I don't like an Adobe product is probably akin to saying I don't like air -- oh, wait, Adobe has trademarked "Air", so I should point out I'm referring to the free kind -- after all, Photoshop is so ubiquitous that the name has become a verb in common use. But their big, bloated, installs-like-a-herd-of-elephants-moving-in-to-your-computer software just doesn't impress me.
