- FINALLY, A ROY AYERS CLASSIC ON CD.
- It's about time somebody started waking up and releasing some good old school r&b on cd. This is if not one of Roy's best recordings since his inception into the music business. I personally like his version of "You Send Me" better than Sam Cooke's version. Roy adds more jazzy flavor to it, especially with the female vocalist as a guess on the song. I believe her name is Carla Vaughn. This whole cd is a keeper and for any true fan of Roy Ayers, I highly recommend that you go out and cop it in a hurry up before it somehow finds it's way out of print. You know how record companies can get.
