- My favorite appliance!
- Practically overnight, this immersion blender has become the essential appliance in my kitchen. It's convenient, powerful and multi-purpose. It is a godsend for making smoothies (which I do for my son almost every morning) and soups (which I do often). What a treat to no longer have to haul out and clean the big old blender! This tool makes easy work of everything from frozen fruit to hearty, chunky soup, and clean up only takes seconds. I expect to give this item as a Christmas gift to several people this year.

- Better than a blender
- This is great for soups and sauces. They no longer need to be transferred from a pot to a classic blender. You just put the smartstick into the pot and let it blend. Cuts out a few steps. It's great. Easier to clean than the old blender. It's great. I highly recommend it.

- Smoothies, batters, puree and Creams!
- I recommend this for whoever is planning to make anything of the above, follow the instructions though so if you are using ice, crush it a little before because it wont handle big pieces.
I myself prefer to use cut fruit as ice, it adds more flavor into my smoothies.
And when it comes to creams and soups, NO SCARY burning anymore, (I had a bad episode with a regular blender, making Potato soup, I literally burned my wrist), so this hand blender is so much safer and EASY TO CLEAN.

- Poor performance
- We were very disappointed with this product. It did not have the power we hoped to blend potato soup. We had another hand blender that we wore out and were much happier with. Will keep trying to find one like our old one though!
