- Samsung 52" LCD TV
- Excellent TV. The delivery was great. 1 day earlier than expected. they called 3 days prior to confirm with me about my availability. Set up the TV in a room upstairs. The TV itslef is excellent and the price I paid was unbelivable. I am very happy with my purchase and with Amazon.

- Samsung LNT5265F 52-inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review
- The product is Wonderful. Great picture, No Blur and Very Good Black Contrast. I would recommend this T.V. to anyone.
Now, what I wasn't to thrilled about was Amazon.Com. Although every thing went off without a hitch, I was very nervous. Buying from Warehouse Deals, which is an Amazon.com owned company, was nerve racking to say the least. It was impossible to communicate with anyone except via email that took days to get a response and even then was very vague. I was wondering what would happen if I needed to make a claim with them. It was very hard to communicate with them and I could not get a phone number anywhere. Everything went fine, But I was nervous about it.
Everything that I read told me to do a full test with the delivery driver present and not to sign until I had. Well, I did that. To the disgust of the driver. They did unload it, uncrate it and even set it in place. But at that point he wanted me to sign and I would not. I told him I wanted to send it a signal first, and he was not happy but agreed.
As soon as I put power to it, it came on with a snowy white screen and he told me "see, it works, but that it would take it a while to warm up before I could see the picture." I told him "NO!" that I needed to send a signal to it. So I went thru the process of hooking every thing up and scrolling thru all the inputs. (This took a max. of 5 mins. because I had everything ready to go.) Everything worked great and I then signed the paper work. I was planning on giving him a $20 tip but because he was so rude and tried to talk me into signing before I had fully tested the T.V., I didn't. This also made him unhappy but he did it to himself. He should have come in with a better attitude and relized that on a purchase this big, people have the right to fully test it before accepting it. It can be a real headache if you find something wrong with it 1 minute after he has left. You can no longer just refuse the shipment, You have to go thru Samsungs Warranty Process. Which means boxing it back up, and pay for shipping back to Samsung.
My Suggestion, Buy the T.V., But test every input and any thing else you can think of before you sign for the shipment no matter what the delivery driver says or thinks. It is your money on the line, Not his!
Hope this helps. We have had the T.V. for over a month now and every thing is Great! We absolutly love it. Samsung Rocks! Amazons choice in delivery drivers, not so much. - 2008-05-08, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Outstanding picture quality, fair price
- I ordered this unit from [...]. Good service, decent price. But, that is changing. Amazon.com has forgotten its roots and has become uncompetitive.
This very nice looking unit arrived with a few dead pixels and poor picture quality. Within a month, the dead pixels had spread and now there was an area of 4"x 1/2" of dead pixels. It took close to a month to get the screen replaced. They didn't have the part in stock and what have you. Once replaced, wow! Superb picture quality, outstanding, vivid true-to-life colors, an absolute pleasure to watch. Audio quality is pretty good, but nothing to brag about. It's like buying a $[...] car with a $[...] stock radio. Will have to spring for a sound system.
When the Dish Network guy installed the Satellite system with component cable, he said not to waste money on an HDMI cable. WRONG! What a difference the cable makes. It makes the picture pop out and even spruces up the audio tremendously!
The newer models have faster response time, are 30,000:1 even 50,000:1 depending on the model and what you can afford. Ordered a 46" Samsung for my bedroom, but not from Amazon. They have kind of become pricey! - 2008-05-06, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
- Phenomenal 1080p LCD TV
- I did TONS of research and finally after a couple weeks, I found this tv to be the best option for me. There was another newer model which is the 5271 but based on my research, the 120hz technology wasn't proven enough to justify spending another $800 for the same size tv but with the new technology. In my opinion, it's not a good idea to buy the first generation of a new technology.
Besides, I got such a good deal on warehousedeals ($1,700 shipped) and the tv was flawless. Even though it said it was open box and there could be blemishes, there wasn't even one hairline scratch anywhere on the tv. It was delivered and the guys did a great job setting it on my new tv stand and making sure it worked before leaving. I couldn't have asked for better customer service. I will always trust Amazon. - 2008-05-02, 0 of 0 people found this review helpful, Rated:
