Great Performance! Great Quality! Great Buy!
I purchased this great hdtv over the summer and paid a thousand more than the current price, but I couldn't be happier with the performance that I've gotten out of this product. The color is very pure and sharpness is incredible.
One thing I worried about before the product was if the screen would be too reflective. I currently have this set perpendicular to a window that lets through a lot of sun light, but one you turn the television on, the reflections disappear and your picture quality is unfazed.
I've played Wii and PS2 on this television and it's absolutely fantastic. Great picture and quality and very quick response.
Amazon's white glove shipping is great! It's free and it worth so much more. The delivery guy helped me unbox the set and set it up and made sure it worked before he left.
I debated purchasing a third party extended warranty from Amazon, but after reading bad reviews about those warranties and reading other warranties for this product, I learned that your credit card company (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) will double the warranty of whatever product you buy by a year if the manufacturer's warranty is a year or less.
The design is very sleek and I've gotten many compliments from guests. I debated between this model and an equivalent Sharp model, but read many reviews from websites other than Amazon that Sharp had a "banding issue" that distorted some color on some areas of the screen. A friend of mine bought a Sharp LCD HDTV a couple months after I bought this Samsung and his product had the banding issue I'd read about previously.
The only thing that I'd ask Samsung to change about this product is the remote control. It's rather long and the "light" fuction only lights up about 4 of the 100 buttons on the device, which really doesn't help much.
All in all, this product is a perfect 10 (or 5 out of 5).

Samsung 52" LCD
This is a beautiful TV that delivers a great picture. The purchasing was easy and the on-line price saved me a lot of dollars. The set came on the day it was promised and the trucker waited while I examined the set. The box was damaged but the set was in excellent condition. Samsung makes it easy to adjust all of the aspects of the picture and sound. The sorround sound is improved over the LCD I purchased a year ago.

BE CAREFUL with REFURBISHED items!
Product is being returned! I had great delivery service even though it was delayed at the beginning. It was suppose to be a refurbished LCD but looked used when it got here. There were two issues with it: (1) a horizontal gray area about 8-10" wide in the middle of the LCD and (2) sometimes the LCD would not turn on (but you can hear movie though). There were also issues with the colors - green and red. I had to constantly adjust the colors. With this experience, I decided to stay away from LCDs until the technology matures for larger screens. Seems like all bad LCD stories happen with the larger screens. So, I went and bought a 50" Panasonic plasma instead.

totally happy once I found the secret to better reception
This TV represents an incredible deal from Amazon - Best Buy currently has the same TV for $2699 + $60 shipping + tax. Just an unbelievable difference in value. I even signed up for an Amazon shopping card which lets you delay any payment for 12 months.
I ordered this TV on a Sat and had it delivered the following Thursday. No problems whatsoever with shipping.
As for the set itself - I was initially disappointed until I figured out that the input on my cable box (Scientific America's Explorer 8300 HD) appeared to be set at 480p (actually lighting up 480p on the box when any channel was on), making any writing on the screen blurry. Once I fooled with the settings on the cable box (honestly, I'm not sure exactly what I did, but I think I set the picture setting to "auto" and inputs to both 720p and 1080i), I now seem to automatically get a picture according to whether the channel is at 720p resolution or at 1080i (again you can see those numbers on the box's display itself for each channel). The picture on all my HD channels now looks great. I made zero adjustments to the factory settings on the TV itself (Dynamic looks the best to me). Using an HDMI hookup as well. Apple tv also looks totally amazing, whether playing HD movies or not.
If you're not happy with your picture, I strongly recommend you make sure your HD cable box is set up properly.
