Great for medium jobs and chemical-free
I hate getting on my hands and knees scrubbing with toxic chemicals - not good for pets or crawling kids. If your floors are filthy I dont think this is for you. But if you use it regularly it does the job and I like that it sanitizes naturally. Tough sticky stains just need more passes and patience. Dust/hair does get pushed around to the edges but once it is dry I just zip over it with a swiffer type product and all is good. You should certainly vacuum well beforehand. It also runs out of water often. But it heats up quickly and is easy to refill. Works well for my needs. Sure beats poisonous cleaners. So 3 steps - vacuum well, steam clean and then do one more once over with your swiffer around walls/edges once a week. Sound like a lot of work but this is my preference. The only thing it did not clean was some wax that dripped on my tile. I gave up after about 30 - 45 seconds of concentrated attention. I just used an expired credit card to scrape that off. Buy the extra pads, change often and simply throw in the washing machine. I did have higher hopes that it would work miracles but nonetheless I like it a lot.

Nothing but a mess....
I bought this product of the TV infomercial - great concept, but it was like pushing a very, very wet rag across my hardwood floors. First, the steam never evaporated. Second, there is no way to control the steam and how wet the mop gets. Third, it cleaned just a bit of my floor, but left ring marks, spatters, etc. It's going back tomorrow BUT I had a difficult time getting customer service to give me return authorization numbers which must accompany the item for a refund. Instead "customer service" first attempted to offer me 35% off plus an extension of the warranty. When I said no thank you, the representative attempted once again to talk me into keeping the item. I didn;t even let the representative get out the second offer - I had to speak over him that I was RETURNING the item - he finally conceded and authorized the return.
A wet Swifer works better!

steam mop review
I have returned this product and have not received a credit. I think it is a good steam mop but my kitchen floor is too small. I still had to get down on my knees to wash around the edging. Please credit my account.

Not a "miracle" mop, but a great product...
This is a great product -- it really cleans up a lot of dust/dirt/grime/spots, but don't expect it to "miraculously" get rid of old set-in stains. It actually does an admirable job at cleaning some stains -- you just have to spend extra time steaming over set-in spots -- but it won't remove them all (it probably depends on the source of the stain). Regardless, overall it's great -- it quickly produces tons of steam, it leaves my floors feeling and looking very clean, and it leaves the floors virtually dry! I do wish the water tank was larger though, because it empties rather quickly.
